Peter Navarro-Alonso

Peter Navarro-Alonso

is a Danish-Spanish composer and organist born in 1973 and currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated from Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and The Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Navarro-Alonso has received numerous commissions from ensembles, orchestras, choirs and opera houses in Denmark and abroad including The Danish National Opera, The Copenhagen Phil, The Danish National Vocal Ensemble a.o.

During his 400+ recitals throughout Europe and the US he has premiered more than 70 compositions.

Navarro-Alonso is a four-time Danish Music Award nominee, a nominee for the Nordic Council Music Prize and a recipient of the largest Danish musical prize, the Carl Nielsen and Anne-Marie Carl Nielsen Honorary Award.

Besides composing and giving recitals, Navarro-Alonso holds the position as organist at Our Saviour’s Church, Copenhagen.
